Storage and system requirements for Mortal Kombat 1 have been released, giving users a better idea of the hardware required to run the game. After teasing the game for a while, developer NetherRealm Studios finally announced a few days ago that Mortal Kombat 1 will reboot the series.
Mortal Kombat 1’s announcement trailer introduced the game, and some new information has slowly been released since then. Mortal Kombat 1 is said to feature microtransactions, as the official FAQ page reveals that it will have a currency called Dragon Krystals. Additionally, gamers who decide to purchase one of the more expensive versions of the game will receive a bunch of Dragon Krystals with their purchase. Now, fans have more information on Mortal Kombat 1’s hardware requirements and how much storage space they’ll need to free up.
Fans can find the minimum and recommended system requirements for Mortal Kombat 1 on its Steam page, confirming that players need 100 GB of free space to install the game, DSOGaming reports. Starting with the minimum specs, users will need to have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980, AMD Radeon RX 470, or Intel Arc A750 to run Mortal Kombat 1. At least an Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 is required to play Mortal Kombat 1 requires a CPU, an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X is recommended.
The recommended system requirements for Mortal Kombat 1 also mention that gamers need to have at least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, or Intel Arc A770. Surprisingly, both setups require only 8 GB of RAM, in stark contrast to the 24 or even 32 GB recommended for games like Forspoken.
